These are handmade high-end pruning scissors created by Tobisho's craftsmen in Yamagata, Japan. What they aimed for was creating pruning scissors which can keep the sharpness for a long time. Pruners Hiryu is the result of their efforts.
The greatest feature of HIRYU is that 2 blades do not contact, which is perfect for pruning branches.
Between handles, there are two springs which absorb the shock accompanying the opening and closing of the pruners.
Tobisho's craftsman Yasuhito Tbizuka says HIRYU is the masterpiece which he created in his life as a blacksmith and craftsman.

Pruning of a tree and a fruit tree.
* Excellent pruners when pruning trees, but not suitable for cutting papers and ropes, for example. They are strictly for pruning trees.
About TOBISHO
Yamagata in Japan has been well-known as a place for manufacturing katanas or swords for samurais since the 14th century. Tobisho, based in this region, is one of the most famous manufacturers for pruning shears, and the best garden masters in Japan use tools manufactured by Tobisho.
Care instructions
* Avoid twisting and dropping
* Please do not use them for any purposes other than wood branches.
* The steel part can rust quickly. Please wipe well after each use.
* Whetstone sharpening is recommended in order to keep the sharpness.
* Blade oil should be applied for the long lasting use of the shears.
